Reaching the Venue

WARNING : To access the island, a final step through a ferry boat is required

The Ferry goes from La Tour Fondue (Giens) to Porquerolles. Timetables vary according to season. For timetables click here. The journey takes around 20 minutes and costs 24€ (round trip, 14€ for single trip)

On Monday May 8th, regular departures are at 3:30, 5:00 and 6:00 pm. Two additionnal ferry transfers are set at 4:30 and 5:30 pm for the people attending the conference. Booking is at the name IGESA and boarding is done directly on the dock.

Please note that May 8th is a national French holiday ("jour férié"), with special bus schedules: see here for your planning of train/bus/ferry connection.

On Friday May 12th, regular departures are at 11:30 am, 2 and 3pm. Additionnal transfers are booked for 12:30 and 15:30.

Access to Ferry terminal by Rail & Public Transport
The closest train station is Hyères.
From the train station, take the bus 67 to ‘La Tour Fondue’ - Ferry Terminal to Porquerolles.

Toulon train station is also close. From there you can take either bus 29 or 39 direction "Gare routiere de Hyères". Stop at "Hyères gare routiere” and from there take the bus 67 to ‘La Tour Fondue’.

Access to Ferry terminal by Car
To reach La Tour Fondue in Giens, which is the ferry terminal, first go to Hyères and then take the D97 till La Tour Fondue.

Access to Ferry terminal by Air
Toulon-Hyères International Airport is the nearest airport to Porquerolles.
You can also arrive at Marseille airport (70 km from Giens) and Nice Airport (120 km from Giens)
